Activism begins with you. Democracy begins with you. Get out there. Get active!

116th Congress (2019—2020)
We represent the interests of horses lobbying at the State and Federal levels in the United States, as well as legislative and regulatory bodies in Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland and the EU at its headquarters in Belgium.
The first attempt to ban horse slaughter on U.S. soil was successful. In November 1998 California voters passed Proposition 6 banning horse slaughter by nearly 5 millions votes! It is illegal there to this day. But there were still horse slaughter plants operating in other States across the US.
That inspired legislators in Washington DC to try to ban the slaughter of horses and their export for slaughter in July 2001, during the first session of the 107th Congress. It was not successful, and we are still fighting that battle to this day.
While we were successful shutting down horse slaughter plants operating on U.S. soil, we have yet to close the export of horses for slaughter loophole. H.R.961/S.2006 will close that loophole. Take Action.
